In the 2nd minute of the match, Leandro Damião tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicu Ispirescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pipera FCM's Vali Burdea got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Lucian Baldovinescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Universitatea cluj fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Leandro Damião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicu Ispirescu was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Iustin Niță kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Universitatea cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Tăcutu to maneuver through the defense. Emil Kociniewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Dobrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 39thth minute of the game Leandro Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pipera FCM's Nicu Ispirescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pipera FCM's Nicu Ispirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Baldovinescu in the 41st minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Pipera FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Nițoi to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Pipera FCM's zone, Lucian Baldovinescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Ispirescu came out of the goal and Lucian Baldovinescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Universitatea cluj fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Universitatea cluj's Lucian Baldovinescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 75th minute Lucian Baldovinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Ispirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Universitatea cluj players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
