Gabríel Tamás was slow to take the kick. During this time Rapid Bucuresti's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Rapid Bucuresti's corner Gabríel Tamás fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ionică Bălanescu quite easily take care of the ball. Ionică Bălanescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo-Luis Lăcătuș in the 10th minute. Marcelo-Luis Lăcătuș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Ionică Bălanescu made a huge save. The referee showed Mugur Trifănucă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Rapid Bucuresti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lupii Turbati:s goal. Rapid Bucuresti:s Vasile Lucian showed great skill when he stopped Dinu Angheluță:s penalty. 43 minutes into the match, Francisco Netto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rapid Bucuresti's Vasile Lucian. Vasile Lucian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Lupii Turbati's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo-Luis Lăcătuș came free, but Ionică Bălanescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rapid Bucuresti's Mugur Trifănucă got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Mugur Trifănucă off the ground. A collision led to Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mugur Trifănucă hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Netto in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasile Lucian saved Rapid Bucuresti from getting behind. Rapid Bucuresti succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Lupii Turbati had controlled the match.
