In the 11th minute, UFC Mahmudie's Lucian Covataru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ioan Buceceanu. Ioan Buceceanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 19th minute of the match UFC Mahmudie got a corner. Arsenal Giulesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gelu Dragomir ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Laurențiu Cinteză almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arsenal Giulesti's Ioan Buceceanu did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as UFC Mahmudie's Lucian Covataru slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ioan Buceceanu. That made the score 2-1 after 24 minutes of play. Ioan Buceceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Pârlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ioan Buceceanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucian Covataru's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After some careless play in the Arsenal Giulesti defense, Laurențiu Cinteză kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ioan Buceceanu. The Arsenal Giulesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ioan Buceceanu should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute Lucian Covataru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Buceceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Narcis Pârlea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ioan Buceceanu. That made the score 5-1 in the 38 minute of play. In the 40th minute, Lucian Covataru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Mahmudie fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. In the 46th minute, UFC Mahmudie's Lucian Covataru dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucian Covataru was the one to do the kick off. Ioan Buceceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Cinteză, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arsenal Giulesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gelu Dragomir was slow to take the kick. During this time UFC Mahmudie's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Gelu Dragomir got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ioan Buceceanu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Ciuvică in the 56th minute of play forced Arsenal Giulesti's goalkeeper Ioan Buceceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Arsenal Giulesti booed when UFC Mahmudie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Florescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Bacalu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Ion Silvestru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal Giulesti's zone, Lucian Covataru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ioan Buceceanu came out of the goal and Lucian Covataru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurențiu Cinteză received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ioan Buceceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Cinteză took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Buceceanu. Ioan Buceceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Cristian Anastasiu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ioan Buceceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Alexa in the 76th minute of the match. Ioan Buceceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Cinteză in the 78th minute of play. UFC Mahmudie's Dedé Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save UFC Mahmudie from getting a goal against them. Cristinel Vâtcu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ioan Buceceanu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Mahmudie's Sandu Alexa. But to his dismay, Sandu Alexa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-1. UFC Mahmudie's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
