Francisc Drăgoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Horia Barbosu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Francisc Drăgoi sped through F.C. Sadjc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Horia Barbosu. After 14 minutes, Florin Paulică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSM ALEXANDRIA and the F.C. Sadjc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute Dragoş Schiau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Airidas Brazauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisc Drăgoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisc Drăgoi in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horia Barbosu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of F.C. Sadjc booed when CSM ALEXANDRIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisc Drăgoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Victor Zota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisc Drăgoi got free with Horia Barbosu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 42 minutes, Aristide Ciompec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSM ALEXANDRIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristide Ciompec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mihnea Harnagea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horia Barbosu having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisc Mugur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Zota struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Horia Barbosu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSM ALEXANDRIA. 55 minutes into the match, CSM ALEXANDRIA's Virgil Panciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horia Barbosu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Virgil Panciu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Horia Barbosu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 58 minutes of play CSM ALEXANDRIA's Florin Paulică was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of F.C. Sadjc booed when CSM ALEXANDRIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Paulică didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Aristide Ciompec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aristide Ciompec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Barbosu having to interfere. Horia Barbosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Drăgoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, F.C. Sadjc's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Drăgoi came free, but Horia Barbosu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristide Ciompec in the 82nd minute of play forced F.C. Sadjc's goalkeeper Horia Barbosu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Sadjc's Horia Barbosu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Harnagea in the 85th minute of play. Horia Barbosu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisc Drăgoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Horia Barbosu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Zota in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, F.C. Sadjc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Lungu to maneuver through the defense. Francisc Drăgoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CSM ALEXANDRIA had played much better football throughout.
