Petre Alecu made a great header on JUVENTUS TORINO's corner, it was just that Olympia SC Bucureşti's Mihăiţă Cumpanașu managed to reach the ball for a save. Iustin Tătaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olympia SC Bucureşti's Mihăiţă Cumpanașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Mascovescu in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympia SC Bucureşti's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Cumpanașu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by JUVENTUS TORINO's David Mascovescu. But to his dismay, David Mascovescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Olympia SC Bucureşti's Mihăiţă Cumpanașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Mascovescu in the 29th minute of play. When JUVENTUS TORINO's David Mascovescu in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympia SC Bucureşti's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute Grigore Cristoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Ghiciușca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigore Cristoiu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernest Ghiciușca. That made the score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 44th minute, David Mascovescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihăiţă Cumpanașu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Grigore Cristoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympia SC Bucureşti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 57 minutes into the match, Olympia SC Bucureşti's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Geoană came free, but Mihăiţă Cumpanașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes Olympia SC Bucureşti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petre Alecu who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Constantin Acalinei heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jatsu Odoardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Ghiciușca having to interfere. David Mascovescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olympia SC Bucureşti's Mihăiţă Cumpanașu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Olympia SC Bucureşti from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Cristoiu in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Ghiciușca saved JUVENTUS TORINO from getting behind. The JUVENTUS TORINO fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when JUVENTUS TORINO's David Mascovescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. David Mascovescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Mihăiţă Cumpanașu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96th match minute, JUVENTUS TORINO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Ţiţeica to maneuver through the defense. The Olympia SC Bucureşti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. JUVENTUS TORINO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
