In the 8th minute Ferdinand Floroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Axinte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisc Grecescu during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ITA Arad's Francisc Grecescu got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 played minutes ITA Arad got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Nastac. Cazimir Axinte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rich Ricketts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cazimir Axinte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionuț Baicea went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the ITA Arad defense, Rich Ricketts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cazimir Axinte. The ITA Arad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cazimir Axinte should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Rich Ricketts sped through ITA Arad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cazimir Axinte. After 25 minutes of play, FC Banat Steierdorf's Ionuț Baicea made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cazimir Axinte was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Banat Steierdorf getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rich Ricketts hit a great ball. Rich Ricketts scored 0-6 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cazimir Axinte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cazimir Axinte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Pârvan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Cazimir Axinte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Floroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rich Ricketts succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 52nd playminute. Victor Dobrotă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arne Võsandi having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, ITA Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Baicea came free, but Cazimir Axinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cazimir Axinte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Grădinaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Ionuț Baicea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cazimir Axinte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Rich Ricketts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Cazimir Axinte made a huge save. The ITA Arad fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when ITA Arad's Felix Tiberian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 73 minutes, Ferdinand Floroiu made it 1-9 with a short kick to the right side. ITA Arad's Cazimir Axinte tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rich Ricketts in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cazimir Axinte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FC Banat Steierdorf's Emanuel Pârvan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cazimir Axinte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Floroiu in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, ITA Arad's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinand Floroiu came free, but Cazimir Axinte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 played minutes FC Banat Steierdorf got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Pârvan. Ionuț Baicea took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cazimir Axinte. Cazimir Axinte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-11. Arne Võsandi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Tiberian, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. ITA Arad's Cazimir Axinte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Floroiu in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Emanuel Caranfil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ITA Arad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Caranfil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FC Banat Steierdorf supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Banat Steierdorf would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
