After a defensive mix-up in Last Stylebender's zone, Iurie Miclescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Grecea came out of the goal and Iurie Miclescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Siniştean in the 5th minute of play forced Last Stylebender's goalkeeper Nicu Grecea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 10 in the game by Iurie Miclescu from a close distance when the talented Nicu Grecea managed to make a qualified save. Last Stylebender's players were relieved. Last Stylebender's Nicu Grecea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Siniştean in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Rapid Bucharest got a corner. Last Stylebender's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ionel Siniştean ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Virgil Ţirpe hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Iurie Miclescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Grecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Grecea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionel Siniştean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Rapid Bucharest's Iurie Miclescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicu Grecea. Nicu Grecea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 45th minute, Francisc Agulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tudor Carabulea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alex Baciu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Alex Baciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes Last Stylebender got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Carabulea. In the 58th minute Francisc Agulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicu Grecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's goal looked a bit too open when Babbis Kouvaris came free, but Ştefan Ifrim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Maxim Gheondea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by 马广竞. Ştefan Ifrim made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tudor Carabulea sent off a good shot on target. Martin Niculcea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ştefan Ifrim having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Agulescu in the 68th minute of play forced Last Stylebender's goalkeeper Nicu Grecea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Martin Niculcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Francisc Agulescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicu Grecea was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Nicu Grecea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionel Siniştean went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Ionel Siniştean struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nicu Grecea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Bucharest. 84 minutes into the game, Rapid Bucharest's Ionel Siniştean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicu Grecea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. If Kasper Ververs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Niculcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Ionel Siniştean cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Nicu Grecea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rapid Bucharest walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
