In the 3rd minute Alkın Berksan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Amurăriței saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel de Godoi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mugur Amurăriței firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 11 played minutes Costică Tăcutu rounded -Bucovina Siret-'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkın Berksan in the 18th minute of play forced -Bucovina Siret-'s goalkeeper Mugur Amurăriței to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Amurăriței was a little too slow when Costică Tăcutu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 32 minutes, Costică Tăcutu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARIUS MARCOV and the -Bucovina Siret- players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Costică Tăcutu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Amurăriței made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel de Godoi in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Henri-Xavier Engelborghs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Amurăriței saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Nae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. MARIUS MARCOV's Ingvar Bergström managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cornel Pumnu in the 57 minute of the game. The supporters of MARIUS MARCOV booed when -Bucovina Siret- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Pumnu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, MARIUS MARCOV's Petruț Buteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mugur Amurăriței made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a little luck, MARIUS MARCOV's Vintilă Tiberiu got control of the ball when Virgil Tobă tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to -Bucovina Siret- getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Daniel Tincu hit a great ball. MARIUS MARCOV made a substitution. Nicu Levițchi replaced Alkın Berksan. After a rather tough play, -Bucovina Siret-'s Daniel Tincu got a free kick in the 70th minute. 73 minutes in the game Daniel Tincu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to George Nae. Vintilă Tiberiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Tobă in the 76th minute. Daniel Tincu made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MARIUS MARCOV's Henri-Xavier Engelborghs. 83 minutes into the match, -Bucovina Siret-'s goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Buteanu came free, but Mugur Amurăriței reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, MARIUS MARCOV's Petruț Buteanu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugur Amurăriței was left in no man's land by his defense there! Costică Tăcutu took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mugur Amurăriței. Mugur Amurăriței dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. MARIUS MARCOV's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
