The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Isac Begal made a precise shot to the right of Ştefan Ifrim. Rapid Bucharest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Matías Suárez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Ştefan Ifrim skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iurie Miclescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Traian Ursu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Ştefan Ifrim made a huge save. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Kasper Ververs hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Miclescu. Francisc Agulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, BlueLionesse's Isac Begal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ştefan Ifrim. Ştefan Ifrim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 34th minute, Iurie Miclescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Panpili was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Damian Boia hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Iurie Miclescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid Bucharest's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Miclescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Panpili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Kasper Ververs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías Suárez made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Eliodor Durbacă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BlueLionesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliodor Durbacă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Isac Begal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ştefan Ifrim was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Gong Zhen Jie hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tomas Panpili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Miclescu in the 58th minute. In the 60th match minute, Rapid Bucharest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Baciu to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, BlueLionesse's Isac Begal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ştefan Ifrim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Corneliu Stănoiu took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ştefan Ifrim. Ştefan Ifrim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. If Corneliu Stănoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ionel Siniştean got free with Tomas Panpili in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Gelu Măcrinici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by Eliodor Iosifian. In the 80th minute Ionel Siniştean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 马广竞 was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rapid Bucharest fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! In the 92nd minute Matías Suárez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ştefan Ifrim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Rapid Bucharest defense, Matías Suárez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ştefan Ifrim. The Rapid Bucharest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ştefan Ifrim should have stopped the shot. In the 97th minute, Eliodor Iosifian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliodor Durbacă struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Ştefan Ifrim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BlueLionesse. BlueLionesse's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
