The ★RO★ T-REX fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when ★RO★ T-REX's Thomas Stålberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chicão Queirós made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when 马广竞 sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Rapid Bucharest defense, Carmelo Salantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ştefan Ifrim. The Rapid Bucharest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ştefan Ifrim should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Iurie Miclescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Peixoto took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ştefan Ifrim. Ştefan Ifrim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gheorghe Cunea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ştefan Ifrim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, ★RO★ T-REX's Nuno Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ştefan Ifrim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Virgil Ţirpe hit a great ball. Gheorghe Cunea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of ★RO★ T-REX booed when Rapid Bucharest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. 马广竞 didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ★RO★ T-REX's Chicão Queirós got control of the ball when Iurie Miclescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half ★RO★ T-REX were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iurie Miclescu was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, ★RO★ T-REX's Carmelo Salantes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ştefan Ifrim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. A hard shot 56 in the game by Nuno Peixoto from a close distance when the talented Ştefan Ifrim managed to make a qualified save. Rapid Bucharest's players were relieved. 60 minutes into the match, Rapid Bucharest's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Stålberg came free, but Ştefan Ifrim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Isaia in the 95th minute of play forced Rapid Bucharest's goalkeeper Ştefan Ifrim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ★RO★ T-REX players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
