The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigi Iovanovici got free with Basarab Secoşan in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Iovanovicis short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Basarab Secoşan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugen Oroian was slow to take the kick. During this time CF Gloria Sieu's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alexandru Stănilă almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Cosula-BTF-'s Basarab Secoşan did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugon Wierzcholek in the 21st minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Basarab Secoşan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Cosula-BTF-'s zone, Gigi Iovanovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basarab Secoşan came out of the goal and Gigi Iovanovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandru Matei got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alexandru Stănilă. In the 27th minute, CF Gloria Sieu's Alexandru Stănilă ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basarab Secoşan. Basarab Secoşan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Basarab Secoşan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugon Wierzcholek, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The corner led CF Gloria Sieu's Eugen Oroian to fire away a dangerous shot which Basarab Secoşan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Basarab Secoşan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Capătă. CF Gloria Sieu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugen Oroian in the 35th minute. After taking down the ball on CF Gloria Sieu's corner Eugen Oroian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Basarab Secoşan quite easily take care of the ball. Hugon Wierzcholek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Basarab Secoşan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugen Oroian was slow to take the kick. During this time CF Gloria Sieu's players had a chance to rest. When Adam Negrilă fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cosula-BTF-'s protests and gave Adam Negrilă a yellow card for diving instead. Basarab Secoşan made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Gigi Iovanovici sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dorin Nebunu was the one to do the kick off. Bogdan Paveliuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Liviu Ciuvică made a huge save. After 57 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Sever Mărăscu. After some careless play in the FC Cosula-BTF- defense, Lucrețiu Capătă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basarab Secoşan. The FC Cosula-BTF- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basarab Secoşan should have stopped the shot. In the 61st minute Lucrețiu Capătă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Secoşan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugon Wierzcholek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CF Gloria Sieu's Liviu Ciuvică proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save CF Gloria Sieu from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Alexandru Stănilă made a precise shot to the right of Basarab Secoşan. FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 73rd match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Mărăscu to maneuver through the defense. Basarab Secoşan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Iovanovici, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Liviu Ciuvică made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Bogdan Paveliuc sent off a good shot on target. When FC Cosula-BTF-'s Bogdan Paveliuc in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Bogdan Paveliuc took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Liviu Ciuvică to make any attempt to save it. In the 96th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Nebunu to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the CF Gloria Sieu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
