Jan Popowicz came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Gigi Bobei. But to his dismay, Gigi Bobei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jan Popowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Bobei in the 20th minute of play. Valer Onișoru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Apolzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Lindgren in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute Pascal Massenhove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, MINERUL BALAN's Emilian Apolzan made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgil Jupân made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Emilian Apolzan notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru. Jan Popowicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the MINERUL BALAN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
