Spectators: 8468 (Terracing: 6352, Seating: 1947, VIP seats: 169) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eduard Hristea made the kick off which started today's match. In the 11th minute Petruț Boaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Lauria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sever Logofătu charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sever Logofătu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes CRAIOVA JUNIOR got a freekick which was hit by Sever Logofătu. With an all-out effort, Champions Iasi's Toader Bran threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ahmet Turan Kantürk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Toader Bran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Turan Kantürk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Champions Iasi were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after CRAIOVA JUNIOR's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Turan Kantürk took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Turan Kantürk got free with Toader Bran in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Turan Kantürk came free, but Toader Bran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Boaru in the 22nd minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Frank Lauria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ahmet Turan Kantürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Champions Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Turan Kantürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toader Bran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's Iustin Coporan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toader Bran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petruț Boaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toader Bran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosmin Iureș, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Turan Kantürk came free, but Toader Bran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmet Turan Kantürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Champions Iasi's Iustin Coporan got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iustin Coporan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toader Bran came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Champions Iasi's Ahmet Turan Kantürk. But to his dismay, Ahmet Turan Kantürk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 60th minute, Iustin Coporan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CRAIOVA JUNIOR's Sever Pâslaru was substituted for Eduard Hristea. Frank Lauria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Logofătu in the 81st minute of play. CRAIOVA JUNIOR made a substitution. Mihail Agârbiceanu replaced Traian Măgureanu. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Eduard Boboc with Lucrețiu Bobei as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 91st match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Aldea to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Coporan. Petre Caramarin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Champions Iasi's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
