Gelu Balotă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Jakobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The DINAMO PLOIESTI fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when DINAMO PLOIESTI's Kunter Irmak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After taking down the ball on DINAMO PLOIESTI's corner Sidnei Donato fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dumitru Doloman quite easily take care of the ball. Dumitru Doloman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kunter Irmak in the 37th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Viola Invest got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Puric. Dumitru Doloman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kunter Irmak in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kunter Irmak to strike the kick off in the second half. Kunter Irmak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Doloman having to interfere. Florin Bratu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dumitru Doloman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of DINAMO PLOIESTI booed when Viola Invest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viorel Puric didn't get a good kick on the ball. The DINAMO PLOIESTI fans cheered their team off the field, for while Viola Invest had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
