The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rodrigo Cordairo made in the 3rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dumitru Tudorică however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 9th minute of play forced Maramures-MM-'s goalkeeper Ciprian Tătăruşanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Tudorică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Cordairo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigo Cordairo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Octavian Soare quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rodrigo Cordairo succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! 蒋誉朋 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. Shi Li's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciprian Tătăruşanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 蒋誉朋 in the 30th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Shi Li cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ciprian Tătăruşanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 46 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Cordairo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maramures-MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galati Harbour Cats the free kick. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Maramures-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maramures-MM- made a substitution. Emil Zafiu replaced Radu Podgoreanu. In the 49th match minute, Maramures-MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 蒋誉朋 to maneuver through the defense. Emil Săndoi hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shi Li stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shi Li recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rik Sligter replaced 蒋誉朋. 82 minutes into the match, Maramures-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Ciprian Tătăruşanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornel Gorgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Ciprian Tătăruşanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
