Spectators: 9212 (Terracing: 6911, Seating: 2118, VIP seats: 183) Unicorns ™'s Marin Tufescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Signoretti in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Signoretti in the 6th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stefan Dobay came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Dobay couldn't finish the play. Remus Piacente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matei Răducu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Tufescu in the 13th minute. Alex Răduț hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Stefan Dobay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corneliu Vulpăşin was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 15 minutes, Stefan Dobay made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Stefan Dobay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Corneliu Vulpăşin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Alex Răduț fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unicorns ™'s protests and gave Alex Răduț a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Răduț hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Marin Tufescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Silviu Bogătan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Carpathians's Remus Piacente quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 30th minute, Leontin Ţurcaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matei Răducu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Bărbulescu in the 31st minute of the match. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carpathians's Stefan Dobay. But to his dismay, Stefan Dobay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 35th minute, Roque Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Stefan Dobay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When Leontin Ţurcaş came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Ţurcaş couldn't finish the play. Stefan Dobay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Dobay to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Carpathians's Stefan Dobay made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corneliu Vulpăşin was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin got control of the ball when Stefan Dobay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corneliu Vulpăşin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stefan Dobay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 62 minute of play. If Stefan Dobay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute Stefan Dobay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Dobay came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Unicorns ™ defense, Stefan Dobay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. The Unicorns ™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Vulpăşin should have stopped the shot. Carpathians made a substitution. Cazimir Feteanu replaced Dave Signoretti. 84 minutes into the game, Stefan Dobay lined in a short shot 0-11 behind a frustrated Corneliu Vulpăşin. In the 87th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. Unicorns ™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dorel Pipirig ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 87 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Feteanu. 90 minutes into the match, Stefan Dobay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Dobay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12.
