Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristinel Eftimiu in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oxel Crespo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oxel Crespo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristinel Eftimiu's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Olaf Irion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oxel Crespo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oxel Crespo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olaf Irion went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gabrielius Mašalas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonas Mažeika came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabrielius Mašalas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. Leonas Mažeika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabrielius Mašalas in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Wolves's Olaf Irion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oxel Crespo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oxel Crespo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Irion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oxel Crespo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Irion in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Wolves's Cristinel Eftimiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oxel Crespo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45thth minute of the game Cristinel Eftimiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Klaipeda United's Oxel Crespo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Oxel Crespo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Irion in the 65th minute. Olaf Irion might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oxel Crespo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olaf Irion ran back to his position shaking his head. Oxel Crespo was a little too slow when Cristinel Eftimiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-4. Oxel Crespo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Algitas Daškevičius went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. 90 minutes into the game, Olaf Irion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Klaipeda United the free kick. Olaf Irion kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 95th play minute Olaf Irion came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Oxel Crespo. 1-8. Wolves's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
