Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kostas Koutsoudakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 9 minutes into the game, Efthimis Kostiadis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Μακεδονια Ελληνικη the free kick. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's Iason Leras was substituted for Akis Lagonidis. Efthimis Kostiadis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. A collision led to TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Giannis Telakos hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Charis Karagiannis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikos Kavouras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Sapounidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Kavouras having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Ignatios Ritsos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's Nikos Kavouras. Nikos Kavouras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aris Xidas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's Kostas Koutsoudakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's zone, Giannis Nassiakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Koutsoudakis came out of the goal and Giannis Nassiakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stamatis Mastorakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Philip Sande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignatios Ritsos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignatios Ritsos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikos Kavouras. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamatis Mastorakis in the 62nd minute of play forced TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's goalkeeper Kostas Koutsoudakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Stamatis Mastorakis made a precise shot to the right of Kostas Koutsoudakis. TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Mastorakis came free, but Kostas Koutsoudakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Koutsoudakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philip Sande's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Stamatis Mastorakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kostas Koutsoudakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute Stamatis Mastorakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Koutsoudakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Philip Sande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Kostas Koutsoudakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giannis Nassiakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Koutsoudakis having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Stamatis Mastorakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Koutsoudakis was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in TOPMUG-ΚΕΡΑΥΝΟΣ ΣΥΡΟΥ's zone, Stamatis Mastorakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Koutsoudakis came out of the goal and Stamatis Mastorakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Philip Sande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Sande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
