Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christodoulos Nikolatos got the match started through his kick off. When Kleanthis Svolos fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karpino FC's protests and gave Kleanthis Svolos a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karpino FC! A collision led to Karpino FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Aimilios Kefalou hit a great ball. Giotis Papantonakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimosthenis Vasakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giotis Papantonakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimosthenis Vasakis in the 19th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Christodoulos Nikolatos took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Trifon Kyrgiakos to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Katsikas defense, Sofoklis Tsogas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giotis Papantonakis. The Katsikas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giotis Papantonakis should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Karpino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christodoulos Nikolatos came free, but Trifon Kyrgiakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karpino FC's Trifon Kyrgiakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Karpino FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Karpino FC's Periklis Vokolos got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theofilos Klidis got free with Trifon Kyrgiakos in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Karpino FC's Trifon Kyrgiakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christodoulos Nikolatos in the 41st minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Christodoulos Nikolatos in the 51st minute of play forced Karpino FC's goalkeeper Trifon Kyrgiakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Christodoulos Nikolatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Katsikas got a freekick which was hit by Omiros Batzis. In the 63rd minute Theofilos Klidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Kyrgiakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trifon Kyrgiakos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theofilos Klidis went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christodoulos Nikolatos in the 68th minute of play forced Karpino FC's goalkeeper Trifon Kyrgiakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Theofilos Klidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trifon Kyrgiakos. Karpino FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Theofilos Klidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Trifon Kyrgiakos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christodoulos Nikolatos's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Theofilos Klidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Karpino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christodoulos Nikolatos came free, but Trifon Kyrgiakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trifon Kyrgiakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christodoulos Nikolatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Theofilos Klidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Katsikas's supporters rose to their feet, but Theofilos Klidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trifon Kyrgiakos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thodoris Viglakis charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thodoris Viglakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Karpino FC got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Viglakis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christodoulos Nikolatos in the 83rd minute of play forced Karpino FC's goalkeeper Trifon Kyrgiakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Katsikas's zone, Dimosthenis Vasakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giotis Papantonakis came out of the goal and Dimosthenis Vasakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trifon Kyrgiakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christodoulos Nikolatos in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Christodoulos Nikolatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trifon Kyrgiakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karpino FC's Sofoklis Tsogas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giotis Papantonakis made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Sofoklis Tsogas sent off a good shot on target. Many of Karpino FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Karpino FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Katsikas were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
