With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thanos Psikos in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theofanis Stiliaras saved Larisa FC from getting behind. When Panagiotis Lazaris came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Porta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panagiotis Lazaris couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Larisa FC's Veniamin Papapostolou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giorgos Petkakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Larisa FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pantelis Strevlos hit a great ball. Theofanis Stiliaras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanos Psikos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giorgos Petkakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veniamin Papapostolou in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Larisa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porta the free kick. After 23 played minutes Larisa FC got a freekick which was hit by Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos. In the 36thth minute of the game Veniamin Papapostolou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porta's Giorgos Petkakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Eugenios Stergioudas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Panagiotis Lazaris made a precise shot to the right of Theofanis Stiliaras. Larisa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giorgos Petkakis made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Veniamin Papapostolou sent off a good shot on target. Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Porta's Giorgos Petkakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos in the 59th minute of play. Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Veniamin Papapostolou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Larisa FC's goalkeeper Theofanis Stiliaras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanos Psikos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Theofanis Stiliaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veniamin Papapostolou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute of the match Alketas Bountouris shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giorgos Petkakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Ntinos Meletoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the game, Veniamin Papapostolou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Giorgos Petkakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dimosthenis Sofianopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
