Panos Mastorakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlassis Konstantakakis having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Panos Mastorakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amfiali FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Panos Mastorakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlassis Konstantakakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 minutes, Kostas Karafanakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amfiali FC and the Eptalofos Eagle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Amfiali FC's Kostas Karafanakis got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Chatziioannou Antoniou came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Eptalofos Eagle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chatziioannou Antoniou couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chatziioannou Antoniou in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nasos Kiousis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Lefteris Argyris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Amfiali FC's Stratos Kalifoulis tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giannis Tsokanis was the one to do the kick off. He walked away shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giannis Mikroutsikos got free with Nasos Kiousis in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Giannis Mikroutsikos managed to get in a good position for a shot.
