With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandros Peponis in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christos Kornelakis saved La Masia FC from getting behind. Christos Kornelakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fanis Gaitanis in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alexandros Peponis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christos Kornelakis was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Fanis Gaitanis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chrysodouli's supporters rose to their feet, but Fanis Gaitanis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 18th match minute, Chrysodouli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Themos Kourbanas to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fanis Gaitanis during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stathis Papagiannakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fanis Gaitanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Christos Kornelakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Alexandros Peponis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Kornelakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Chrysodouli fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Chrysodouli's Alexandros Peponis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christos Kornelakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fanis Gaitanis in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandros Peponis to make the kick off. Alexandros Peponis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Christos Kornelakis made a huge save. Chrysodouli's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
