Spectators: 7729 (Terracing: 5798, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alkinoos Sfakianakis got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Louis Nikopolidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DIAMANDIA the free kick. After having played for 9 minutes, Petros Toufekas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIAMANDIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petros Toufekas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimitris Latsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Tsirakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Alkinoos Sfakianakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Paris Katergiannakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ booed when DIAMANDIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Skarmoutsos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ignatios Baltimas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nikos Maras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Fokas Moraitidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIAMANDIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ the free kick. Alkinoos Sfakianakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignatios Baltimas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Nikos Maras made a huge save. If Alkinoos Sfakianakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dimitris Latsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Tsagaropoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Savas Myroforidis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kostas Skarmoutsos in the 54 minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Tsagaropoulos came free, but Dimitris Latsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alkinoos Sfakianakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nikos Tsagaropoulos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 65th match minute, ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Manousakis to maneuver through the defense. DIAMANDIA's Nikos Maras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkinoos Sfakianakis in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in DIAMANDIA's zone, Alkinoos Sfakianakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Maras came out of the goal and Alkinoos Sfakianakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonis Belesis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Petros Toufekas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Latsis having to interfere. Dimitris Latsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Tsagaropoulos in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ booed when DIAMANDIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Toufekas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alkinoos Sfakianakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Maras having to interfere. ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's Ignatios Baltimas got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Petros Toufekas could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Dimitris Latsis however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Tsagaropoulos in the 96th minute of play forced ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ's goalkeeper Dimitris Latsis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ΕΡΥΘΡΟΣ ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ had played much better football throughout.
