The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Nikitas Manousaridis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menelaos Kokkalopoulos in the 9th minute of the match. Kostas Drakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinho Kurt in the 13th minute of play. Káto Spílaion's Ferdinho Kurt suffered a sore thigh after 15 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Pavlos Bouras fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodiakos FC's protests and gave Pavlos Bouras a yellow card for diving instead. Pavlos Bouras kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Káto Spílaion's goalkeeper Nikitas Manousaridis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Lakis Lakis in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rodiakos FC's Sotiris Charisteas. In the 21st minute of the match, Menelaos Kokkalopoulos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nikitas Manousaridis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Káto Spílaion's goalkeeper Nikitas Manousaridis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Káto Spílaion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ofri Villig to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Giannis Manolas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Káto Spílaion's Nikitas Manousaridis didn't even have to move. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute of the game Lakis Lakis made a throw-in which Kleanthis Serafidis played forward. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos was the one to do the kick off. Káto Spílaion's Nikitas Manousaridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Menelaos Kokkalopoulos in the 52nd minute of play. Menelaos Kokkalopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikitas Manousaridis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Pavlos Bouras kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Tasos Pispinis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Menelaos Kokkalopoulos in the 75th minute of play forced Káto Spílaion's goalkeeper Nikitas Manousaridis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Sotiris Charisteas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute Menelaos Kokkalopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikitas Manousaridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Káto Spílaion booed when Rodiakos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giannis Manolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, one of Rodiakos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rodiakos FC. Christos Telakis shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
