Spectators: 7774 (Terracing: 5831, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 155) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Heikki Pentsinen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Pekka Kangasniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 8 minutes of play, Kiimkallio IFK's Pekka Kangasniemi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saku Räikkönen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Heikki Pentsinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiimkallio IFK's Eljas Väänänen got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heikki Pentsinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tino Suoraniemi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kiimkallio IFK's protests and gave Tino Suoraniemi a yellow card for diving instead. 21 minutes into the game, one of Kiimkallio IFK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute, Mormons FC got a penalty, and Salomo Siltanen placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Eljas Väänänen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kiimkallio IFK's Juuso Pärssinen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Kiimkallio IFK from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes Kiimkallio IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jussi Repo. Heikki Pentsinen struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Juuso Pärssinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mormons FC. When Pasi Ikonen came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Mormons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pasi Ikonen couldn't finish the play. Heikki Pentsinen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juuso Pärssinen came out and tried to block the shot, but Heikki Pentsinen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jori Puistola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mormons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jori Puistola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juuso Pärssinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eljas Väänänen made a kick off. Juuso Pärssinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heikki Pentsinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Pasi Ikonen had to leave the field with a concussion. Samuli Puhakainen's late challenge caught a Mormons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuli Puhakainen helped the player get up and apologised. Samuli Puhakainen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Heikki Pentsinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mormons FC's goalkeeper Saku Räikkönen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kiimkallio IFK's zone, Heikki Pentsinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juuso Pärssinen came out of the goal and Heikki Pentsinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saku Räikkönen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pekka Kangasniemi in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eljas Väänänen in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saku Räikkönen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pekka Kangasniemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kiimkallio IFK's zone, Heikki Pentsinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juuso Pärssinen came out of the goal and Heikki Pentsinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Aappo Järventie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pekka Kangasniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Saku Räikkönen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aappo Järventie's late challenge caught a Kiimkallio IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aappo Järventie helped the player get up and apologised. Samuli Puhakainen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saku Räikkönen. Mormons FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mormons FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kiimkallio IFK for a fine match.
