Ensio Uusipaavalniemi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesse Koivula in the 8th minute. The supporters of JJ SumU Akatemia booed when Ac Big Balls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommi Santala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ensio Uusipaavalniemi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otto Kopola's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. A collision led to Ac Big Balls getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aki Lätti hit a great ball. Pekka Laaksonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Untamo Masalin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes JJ SumU Akatemia got a freekick which was hit by Oiva Uhlbäck. After 25 played minutes Ac Big Balls got a freekick which was hit by Pekka Laaksonen. Untamo Masalin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pekka Laaksonen in the 29th minute of the match. Untamo Masalin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommi Santala in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Ac Big Balls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aki Lätti to maneuver through the defense. Jesse Koivula could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ensio Uusipaavalniemi made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Otto Kopola made the kick off in the second half. Jesse Koivula might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ensio Uusipaavalniemi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesse Koivula ran back to his position shaking his head. JJ SumU Akatemia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Tommi Santala scored to the left of an out of position Untamo Masalin, making the score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Otto Kopola in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ensio Uusipaavalniemi saved Ac Big Balls from getting behind. Untamo Masalin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 66th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Erkki Innanen. Tommi Santala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Untamo Masalin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommi Santala received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Untamo Masalin came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommi Santala slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 72nd minute. In the 87th minute, Veli-Matti Somervuori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. JJ SumU Akatemia fully deserved thier win.
