He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mestarisieni fc reached it. Tuure Timoska's late challenge caught a PR Merkkausvirhe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tuure Timoska helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mestarisieni fc getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tuure Timoska hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Mestarisieni fc's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Uotila came free, but Otso Kärnä reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalle Rantala in the 18th minute of play forced PR Merkkausvirhe's goalkeeper Akseli Sulku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Lumme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Otso Kärnä made a huge save. Tommi Palo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Kalle Rantala notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of PR Merkkausvirhe's Akseli Sulku. Akseli Sulku was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kalle Rantala might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akseli Sulku. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kalle Rantala ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalle Rantala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes in the game Kalle Forsman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Miro Uotila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyri Etula in the 62nd minute of play forced Mestarisieni fc's goalkeeper Otso Kärnä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, Mestarisieni fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iikka Roihuvuori to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes PR Merkkausvirhe got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Lumme. If Kalle Rantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute Kalle Rantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akseli Sulku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Kalle Forsman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in PR Merkkausvirhe's zone, Kalle Rantala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akseli Sulku came out of the goal and Kalle Rantala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Kalle Rantala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mestarisieni fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Kalle Rantala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akseli Sulku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauko Multaharju hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Kalle Rantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, PR Merkkausvirhe's goalkeeper Akseli Sulku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kalle Rantala. After having played for 91 minutes, Jyri Etula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PR Merkkausvirhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jyri Etula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The PR Merkkausvirhe supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mestarisieni fc's performance. The match ended with a win for Mestarisieni fc.
