In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind HUIJARI karppamies's goalkeeper Fabian Scislowicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of HUIJARI karppamies booed when AC Sarsaparilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esa Joenväärä didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute Leif Ojanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taavi Hulkkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heikki Sulonen in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabian Scislowicz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Alvi Viuhkola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Scislowicz was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reima Andersson in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, AC Sarsaparilla's goal looked a bit too open when Reima Andersson came free, but Taavi Hulkkonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Ojanen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taavi Hulkkonen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes AC Sarsaparilla's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jarkko Vallin who took care of the corner kick. Leif Ojanen took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taavi Hulkkonen. Taavi Hulkkonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jarkko Vallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Taavi Hulkkonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taavi Hulkkonen came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by HUIJARI karppamies's Emiliano Rayman. But to his dismay, Emiliano Rayman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 42nd minute Leif Ojanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taavi Hulkkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Scislowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahti Viinikainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, HUIJARI karppamies's Jarkko Vallin got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Toni Hilden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Sarsaparilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HUIJARI karppamies the free kick. In the 46th minute of the match Jarkko Vallin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Taavi Hulkkonen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half HUIJARI karppamies were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

HUIJARI karppamies's Isto Pursiainen was substituted for Jarkko Vallin. Fabian Scislowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heikki Sulonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Fabian Scislowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juha-Pekka Glad in the 57th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes HUIJARI karppamies got a freekick which was hit by Leif Ojanen. In the 73rdth minute of the game Reima Andersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Taavi Hulkkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Ojanen in the 77th minute of play. HUIJARI karppamies made a substitution. Heikki Kuusinen replaced Niceto Nel. AC Sarsaparilla's Jyrki Nielikäinen was substituted for Ahti Viinikainen. The supporters of HUIJARI karppamies booed when AC Sarsaparilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artturi Nielikäinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Reima Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. HUIJARI karppamies's supporters rose to their feet, but Reima Andersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taavi Hulkkonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute HUIJARI karppamies were awarded a corner. Leif Ojanen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Leif Ojanen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AC Sarsaparilla's Taavi Hulkkonen did a great save. Joonatan Huttunen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Torsti Tuuri came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the HUIJARI karppamies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsti Tuuri couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Basilio Logroño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isto Pursiainen took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taavi Hulkkonen. Taavi Hulkkonen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. HUIJARI karppamies played a much better game than AC Sarsaparilla and deserved their victory. The AC Sarsaparilla players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
