After 2 minutes, Pearu Müür mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vardi JK and the Kõpu Dynamo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vardi JK's Pearu Müür got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Ivari Veedla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kõpu Dynamo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vardi JK the free kick. After 7 played minutes Kõpu Dynamo got a freekick which was hit by Ivari Veedla. Kalmer Lips could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gilbert Klimkiewicz made a huge save. If Robert Haupt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 17 minutes into the game, Roomet Mari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vardi JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kõpu Dynamo the free kick. 20 minutes into the match, Vardi JK's Keijo Nuut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Klimkiewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Robert Haupt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Keijo Heiberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Robert Haupt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilbert Klimkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalmer Lips in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Haupt in the 41st minute of play forced Vardi JK's goalkeeper Keijo Heiberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Robert Haupt made a precise shot to the right of Keijo Heiberg. Vardi JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 44th minute, Madis Heinola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kalmer Lips made a kick off. Vardi JK's Keijo Heiberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Vardi JK from getting a goal against them. Kõpu Dynamo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mati Elujõe in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Kõpu Dynamo's Robert Haupt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Keijo Heiberg. Keijo Heiberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kõpu Dynamo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Gilbert Klimkiewicz had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Arnold Käbin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kõpu Dynamo's Gilbert Klimkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalmer Lips in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Vardi JK booed when Kõpu Dynamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mati Elujõe didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Kõpu Dynamo's goal looked a bit too open when Kalmer Lips came free, but Gilbert Klimkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Kõpu Dynamo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Andrus Noobel hit a great ball. The Kõpu Dynamo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kõpu Dynamo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
