Tripíla FC's Kanake Karabatsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iphitos Strilakos in the 7th minute of play. Kanake Karabatsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iphitos Strilakos in the 12th minute of the match. Briarios Kourempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kanake Karabatsos having to interfere. If Pavlos Lakiotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Tripíla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Briarios Kourempes came free, but Kanake Karabatsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Kıbrıs Türk Gücü booed when Tripíla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademtos Terovolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20th play minutes Briarios Kourempes shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Kanake Karabatsos and just under the crossbar into goal. Kanake Karabatsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Briarios Kourempes in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Kıbrıs Türk Gücü getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Briarios Kourempes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkibiades Barraboutis in the 35th minute of play forced Tripíla FC's goalkeeper Kanake Karabatsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Briarios Kourempes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Akheron Triantafillou got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Tripíla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Briarios Kourempes came free, but Kanake Karabatsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Briarios Kourempes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kanake Karabatsos was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Tripíla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kıbrıs Türk Gücü the free kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Kanake Karabatsos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iphitos Strilakos in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match Kıbrıs Türk Gücü got a corner. Tripíla FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Polybos Logarakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Kıbrıs Türk Gücü getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Polybos Logarakis hit a great ball. Epigonoi Yfantis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laios Kotsiopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tripíla FC's Telis Cholas in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th match minute, Kıbrıs Türk Gücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akamas Brettos to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Pavlos Lakiotis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Briarios Kourempes came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kanake Karabatsos could save by the left post. A hard shot 88 in the game by Briarios Kourempes from a close distance when the talented Kanake Karabatsos managed to make a qualified save. Tripíla FC's players were relieved. Alkibiades Barraboutis struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Kanake Karabatsos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kıbrıs Türk Gücü. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Briarios Kourempes got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Briarios Kourempes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kanake Karabatsos came out and tried to block the shot, but Briarios Kourempes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 92nd minute. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü played a much better game than Tripíla FC and deserved their victory. The Tripíla FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
