The corner led Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Seilenos Pezos to fire away a dangerous shot which Kauã Saldanha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Evripidis Konstantatos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiprianádhes MLKS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kıbrıs Türk Gücü the free kick. Iphitos Strilakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kauã Saldanha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iphitos Strilakos ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, Kiprianádhes MLKS's goal looked a bit too open when Alkibiades Barraboutis came free, but Kauã Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iakobos Papadimitriou during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kıbrıs Türk Gücü booed when Kiprianádhes MLKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iakobos Papadimitriou didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iphitos Strilakos during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Kıbrıs Türk Gücü getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iphitos Strilakos hit a great ball. Musios Comino struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Epigonoi Yfantis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kiprianádhes MLKS. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Akis Paraskevopoulos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Iphitos Strilakos got a free kick in the 55th minute. Epigonoi Yfantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evripidis Konstantatos in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evripidis Konstantatos in the 64th minute of play forced Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's goalkeeper Epigonoi Yfantis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Giannakos struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Epigonoi Yfantis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kiprianádhes MLKS. 66 minutes into the game, Evripidis Konstantatos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Epigonoi Yfantis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alkibiades Barraboutis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kiprianádhes MLKS's Kithairon Panayiotopoulos got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some careless play in the Kiprianádhes MLKS defense, Briarios Kourempes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kauã Saldanha. The Kiprianádhes MLKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kauã Saldanha should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Briarios Kourempes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kauã Saldanha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After having played for 89 minutes, Alkibiades Barraboutis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alkibiades Barraboutis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Briarios Kourempes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute of the match Akis Paraskevopoulos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Epigonoi Yfantis skillfully saved the ball. Alkibiades Barraboutis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kauã Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü played a much better game than Kiprianádhes MLKS and deserved their victory. The Kiprianádhes MLKS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
