Briarios Kourempes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Adrastos Rousses when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 4th match minute, Kıbrıs Türk Gücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akheron Triantafillou to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, Kolierí's Stathis Papadis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epigonoi Yfantis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Briarios Kourempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrastos Rousses having to interfere. Kolierí's Adrastos Rousses proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Kolierí from getting a goal against them. Briarios Kourempes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Briarios Kourempes came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Kıbrıs Türk Gücü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Briarios Kourempes couldn't finish the play. Briarios Kourempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrastos Rousses having to interfere. Epigonoi Yfantis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zinon Georgas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Kıbrıs Türk Gücü defense, Zinon Georgas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epigonoi Yfantis. The Kıbrıs Türk Gücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epigonoi Yfantis should have stopped the shot. Briarios Kourempes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Briarios Kourempes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adrastos Rousses. The goal made the score 2-2. When Briarios Kourempes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 43 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adrastos Rousses was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Adrastos Rousses made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavlos Lakiotis in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zinon Georgas to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkibiades Barraboutis in the 51st minute of play forced Kolierí's goalkeeper Adrastos Rousses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Briarios Kourempes in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrastos Rousses saved Kolierí from getting behind. In the 54thth minute of the game Briarios Kourempes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kolierí's Adrastos Rousses was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolierí's goalkeeper Adrastos Rousses, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pavlos Lakiotis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrastos Rousses having to interfere. Briarios Kourempes took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrastos Rousses. Adrastos Rousses dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Kıbrıs Türk Gücü made a substitution. Akastos Lolos replaced Iphitos Strilakos. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Briarios Kourempes sped through Kolierí's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrastos Rousses. In the 78th minute Briarios Kourempes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrastos Rousses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alkibiades Barraboutis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Adrastos Rousses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's goalkeeper Epigonoi Yfantis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stathis Papadis. Kolierí's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Epeios Kotsiopoulos in the 83rd minute. Epeios Kotsiopoulos made a great header on Kolierí's corner, it was just that Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Epigonoi Yfantis managed to reach the ball for a save. The score was 4-3 after a penalty in the 87th minute, where Kolierí:s Epeios Kotsiopoulos tricked Kıbrıs Türk Gücü:s Epigonoi Yfantis with a difficult ball by the left post. Alkibiades Barraboutis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrastos Rousses having to interfere. Kaineus Hristopoulos struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Adrastos Rousses didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kıbrıs Türk Gücü. Adrastos Rousses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavlos Lakiotis in the 93rd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Pavlos Lakiotis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrastos Rousses was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. 97 minutes into the match, Kıbrıs Türk Gücü's Akastos Lolos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrastos Rousses narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Pavlos Lakiotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
