In the 11th match minute, Efstathiou UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nassos Sarandakos to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Martino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Konstantinos Theodoratos put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Efstathiou UTD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karavostásis BC:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Karavostásis BC. Lynkeus Galitsis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iphikles Pintzopoulos. 0-2. After 18 played minutes Efstathiou UTD got a freekick which was hit by Akastos Hagias. Cristo Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iphikles Pintzopoulos having to interfere. Iphikles Pintzopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Martino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Martino in the 29th minute of play forced Efstathiou UTD's goalkeeper Iphikles Pintzopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Karavostásis BC's Eteokles Mitsinikos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a rather tough play, Efstathiou UTD's Agesilaus Zorbas got a free kick in the 39th minute. Iphikles Pintzopoulos came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Karavostásis BC's Cristo Martino. But to his dismay, Cristo Martino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 45th match minute, Efstathiou UTD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nassos Sarandakos to maneuver through the defense. Iphikles Pintzopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Martino in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Martino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iphikles Pintzopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Martino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristo Martino scored 0-5 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iphikles Pintzopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Efstathiou UTD's Iphikles Pintzopoulos got control of the ball when Joaquim Guimarães tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Lynkeus Galitsis made a precise shot to the right of Iphikles Pintzopoulos. Efstathiou UTD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Lynkeus Galitsis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iphikles Pintzopoulos having to make a save. Iphikles Pintzopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karavostásis BC's Joaquim Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
