Bastian Caes started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind ПФК Ботев Пловдив's goalkeeper Maksim Kindekov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Totyo Popisakov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Totyo Popisakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafal Klimkiewicz in the 30th minute of the match. Joakim Högberg kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, ПФК Ботев Пловдив's goalkeeper Maksim Kindekov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitar Berbatov. With a little luck, ПФК Ботев Пловдив's Maksim Kindekov got control of the ball when Dimitar Berbatov tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Crusaders of Dark's Dimitar Berbatov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maksim Kindekov. That made the score 2-1 after 36 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dimitar Berbatov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Crusaders of Dark's Dimitar Berbatov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maksim Kindekov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maksim Kindekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitar Berbatov in the 56th minute of the match. Eivind Lundemo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Totyo Popisakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Sefer, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Maksim Kindekov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitar Berbatov in the 64th minute of play. Dimitar Berbatov took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maksim Kindekov. Maksim Kindekov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Totyo Popisakov was a little too slow when Rafal Klimkiewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 3-3. In the 69th minute, ПФК Ботев Пловдив's Julio-César Hernandez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Bastian Caes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Totyo Popisakov made a huge save. Totyo Popisakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Sefer, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute Antonio Sefer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Totyo Popisakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Klimkiewicz in the 76th minute of play forced Crusaders of Dark's goalkeeper Totyo Popisakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Rafal Klimkiewicz took a quick shot and it went in 3-5 without a chance for Totyo Popisakov to make any attempt to save it. 80 minutes into the match, Crusaders of Dark's goalkeeper Totyo Popisakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafal Klimkiewicz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafal Klimkiewicz got free with Totyo Popisakov in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Strahil Dashovski hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th match minute, Crusaders of Dark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Orlondo to maneuver through the defense. After 86 minutes, Joakim Högberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ПФК Ботев Пловдив and the Crusaders of Dark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute, Joakim Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Crusaders of Dark's Dimitar Berbatov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maksim Kindekov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Crusaders of Dark were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after ПФК Ботев Пловдив's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dochko Razpopov took the corner. Dimitar Berbatov struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Maksim Kindekov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crusaders of Dark. Dimitar Berbatov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ПФК Ботев Пловдив players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
