After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Øyvind Skoglund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Pavlin Dragomirov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Partizan and the FC Grivata players grew even worse after the yellow card. Georgi Benkovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vanko Kavlakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Karim Benzema made a precise shot to the right of Venko Notev. FC Grivata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Georgi Benkovski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded FC Grivata left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Partizan.
