Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Ramiz Honazlı successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ramiz Honazlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Devlet Yalçuk in the 9th minute. Karagümrük's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Enes Saraç scored to the left of an out of position Ramiz Honazlı, making the score, 1-0. Karl-Johan Wallander struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ahmet Seyfi İçkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karagümrük. If Karl-Johan Wallander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FenerBahçe's Ahmet Seyfi İçkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Severo in the 23rd minute of play. Ahmet Seyfi İçkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaan Rezzak in the 27th minute of play. Duman Hikmettin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, FenerBahçe's Kemalettin Tanyolaç ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiz Honazlı. Ramiz Honazlı yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Karagümrük's Ramiz Honazlı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Karagümrük from getting a goal against them. Devlet Yalçuk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramiz Honazlı firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as FenerBahçe's Enes Saraç slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramiz Honazlı. That made the score 3-0 after 40 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enes Saraç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Seyfi İçkin made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Décio Severo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Severo in the 54th minute of play forced FenerBahçe's goalkeeper Ahmet Seyfi İçkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Décio Severo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Karagümrük fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Severo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Karagümrük defense, Kemalettin Tanyolaç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiz Honazlı. The Karagümrük fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiz Honazlı should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Batıkan Baykır sped through Karagümrük's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiz Honazlı. Ramiz Honazlı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devlet Yalçuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Karagümrük's Kaan Rezzak got a free kick in the 70th minute. Filipe Valente hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Karagümrük's Ramiz Honazlı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kemalettin Tanyolaç in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, FenerBahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bünyamin Oncel to maneuver through the defense. Décio Severos short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Ahmet Seyfi İçkin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 84 minutes of play, FenerBahçe's Kemalettin Tanyolaç made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiz Honazlı was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramiz Honazlı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batıkan Baykır in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to FenerBahçe getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Devlet Yalçuk hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FenerBahçe had played much better football throughout.
