After 4 minutes İstanbull's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Batur Cingöz who took care of the corner kick. Batur Cingöz made a great header on Beşiktaş's corner, it was just that İstanbull's Osman Ali Camcıoğlu managed to reach the ball for a save. Osman Ali Camcıoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Anıl Ademoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Beşiktaş booed when İstanbull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. İldeniz Buğrahan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remzi Boratay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Mustafa Anıl Ademoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beşiktaş fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, İshak Ümit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. İstanbull's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beşiktaş the free kick. In the 16th match minute, İstanbull was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İshak Ümit to maneuver through the defense. Atak Cevher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kağan Kaptan in the 23rd minute of play forced Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Berat Temren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Ahmet Kağan Kaptan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berat Temren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, İstanbull's İldeniz Buğrahan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute İldeniz Buğrahan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Osman Ali Camcıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökay Tanay in the 42nd minute of the match. İshak Ümit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Berat Temren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Beşiktaş were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gökay Tanay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Osman Ali Camcıoğlu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Arif Yazgan got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes İstanbull got a freekick which was hit by Cüneyt İdrisoğlu. Cüneyt İdrisoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Osman Ali Camcıoğlu managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Beşiktaş's Batur Cingöz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mustafa Anıl Ademoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Osman Ali Camcıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osman Ali Camcıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batur Cingöz in the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remzi Boratay got free with Osman Ali Camcıoğlu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batur Cingöz in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osman Ali Camcıoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mustafa Anıl Ademoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gökay Tanay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Beşiktaş were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
