Spectators: 7150 (Terracing: 5453, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alim Erşahin started the match with the kick off. After 6 played minutes Giresun got a freekick which was hit by Devlet Cebir. In the 10th minute Devlet Cebir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Seza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Giresun's Talip Sahir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volkan Seza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Talip Sahir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Arif Burak Otaran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akincilar JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Burak Otaran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kutalp Kabataş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arman Orcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Seza having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Arif Burak Otaran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kutalp Kabataş was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Devlet Cebir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Volkan Seza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Volkan Seza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Talip Sahir in the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Talip Sahir in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Volkan Seza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Akincilar JK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Niyazi Mustafali hit a great ball. If Talip Sahir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devlet Cebir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Seza having to interfere. Volkan Seza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talip Sahir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Talip Sahir made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Akincilar JK's Yahya Tümerkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kutalp Kabataş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Devlet Cebir came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Giresun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devlet Cebir couldn't finish the play. Talip Sahir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Volkan Seza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Alim Erşahin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Akincilar JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Giresun's zone, Arif Burak Otaran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kutalp Kabataş came out of the goal and Arif Burak Otaran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akincilar JK's Volkan Seza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Akincilar JK from getting a goal against them. Devlet Cebir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Volkan Seza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Giresun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Galip Sabuncuoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Kutalp Kabataş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Burak Otaran in the 88th minute of play. Devlet Cebir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Volkan Seza firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Alim Erşahin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Akincilar JK could leave the field as winners, despite Giresun having more of the ball for most of the match.
