After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Abdi Saygın Süngü managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kecierengücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdi Saygın Süngü was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Müjdat Özalp to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes, Kecierengücü's Ahmet Ozan Çağili shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arslan Akçal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kecierengücü reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Müjdat Özalp in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arslan Akçal saved GENÇLERBİRLİGİ from getting behind. Abdi Saygın Süngü in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arslan Akçal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdi Saygın Süngü got free with Arslan Akçal in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şahin Uralp's late challenge caught a GENÇLERBİRLİGİ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şahin Uralp helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Kecierengücü's Şahin Uralp got a free kick in the 80th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Müjdat Özalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kecierengücü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Müjdat Özalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 96th minute of the match Şahin Uralp completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Şahin Uralp a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When the match was over Kecierengücü could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GENÇLERBİRLİGİ throughout the match.
