İlbey Arslanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Barbaros Türegün tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mansur Resai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Türegün having to interfere. Mansur Resai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Türegün having to interfere. Barbaros Türegün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Arslanoğlu in the 35th minute of play. If İlbey Arslanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mansur Resai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barbaros Türegün having to interfere. Barbaros Türegün made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Arslanoğlu in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

İlbey Arslanoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Barbaros Türegün made a huge save. The supporters of VARIŞLI FK booed when MELMİN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rıza Tavgaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, VARIŞLI FK's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulbaki Başdaş came free, but Barbaros Türegün reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göktürk Davarcı's late challenge caught a MELMİN FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göktürk Davarcı helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes VARIŞLI FK got a freekick which was hit by Göktürk Davarcı. The supporters of VARIŞLI FK booed when MELMİN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mansur Resai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th match minute, VARIŞLI FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamuran İbrahimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, VARIŞLI FK's Kamuran İbrahimoğlu got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Kamuran İbrahimoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VARIŞLI FK's protests and gave Kamuran İbrahimoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, VARIŞLI FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamuran İbrahimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 94 minutes, İlbey Arslanoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MELMİN FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlbey Arslanoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
