After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Alkan Tekinalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilyos's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkan Tekinalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demir Yılhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sami Başdoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil İmar, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Kilyos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tuğrul Esay to maneuver through the defense. Sami Başdoğan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çakabey Çimen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Demir Yılhan managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Kilyos's Göksel Canbulat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 79 minutes into the match, Kilyos's goal looked a bit too open when Merih Bozkurt came free, but Sami Başdoğan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sami Başdoğan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Merih Bozkurt in the 81st minute of the match. Tuğrul Esay kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. If Göksel Canbulat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mavi Şimşek İdman Yurdu's Demir Yılhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkan Tekinalp in the 93rd minute of play.
