The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erhan Sunay's late challenge caught a Valerian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valerian's Ediz Tunç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dündar Yelesen in the 14th minute of play. After some careless play in the Valerian defense, Ufuk Aksoy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediz Tunç. The Valerian fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediz Tunç should have stopped the shot. Hayyam Demirci's late challenge caught a Valerian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayyam Demirci helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Kirikkale got a freekick which was hit by Hayyam Demirci. In the 19th match minute, Kirikkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayyam Demirci to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Erhan Sunay had to leave the field with a concussion. 24 minutes into the game, Bulut Ula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valerian's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kirikkale the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valerian's Bulut Ula got a free kick in the 25th minute. Valerian's Ediz Tunç proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Valerian from getting a goal against them. Yalçın Sabahaddin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Alptuğ Tanırcan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melik Uğurcan skillfully saved the ball. Ufuk Aksoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Valerian getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Feridun Türemen hit a great ball. If Ufuk Aksoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Valerian's zone, Dündar Yelesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ediz Tunç came out of the goal and Dündar Yelesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediz Tunç made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ufuk Aksoy in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuralp Miran made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kirikkale's Ufuk Aksoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediz Tunç narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ediz Tunç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ufuk Aksoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melik Uğurcan made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Alaaddin Utkan sent off a good shot on target. Baran Bilge Sunay hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ufuk Aksoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ediz Tunç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirikkale walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
