The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cláudio Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semavi Uzcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Semavi Uzcan in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 minutes of play, Gouveia FC's Fazlı Akata made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cláudio Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Altay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gouveia FC were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Altay's Cláudio Guerra got control of the ball when Semavi Uzcan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ali Artan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Hazım Gökalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hazım Gökalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Guerra having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Altay's goalkeeper Cláudio Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ali Erdem Tandoğdu. The crowd rose to their feet as Gouveia FC's Fazlı Akata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cláudio Guerra. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. Cláudio Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hazım Gökalp went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Cláudio Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hazım Gökalp's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Gouveia FC's Atalan Ünan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cláudio Guerra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Altay's Ali Artan got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Ali Erdem Tandoğdu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Guerra. Altay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Erdem Tandoğdu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Semavi Uzcan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Guerra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cláudio Guerra was a little too slow when Hazım Gökalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-5. Fazlı Akata succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. After a rather tough play, Gouveia FC's Ali Erdem Tandoğdu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Gouveia FC played a much better game than Altay and deserved their victory. The Altay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
