Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Arif Eskioğlu started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Menderes SK's zone, Andre Shipton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökcan Taykara came out of the goal and Andre Shipton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Andre Shipton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Menderes SK's Gökcan Taykara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Andre Shipton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökcan Taykara. Menderes SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andre Shipton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andre Shipton in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gökcan Taykara saved Menderes SK from getting behind. Gökcan Taykara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Shipton's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Ahmet Arif Eskioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nihat Yekta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gökcan Taykara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Shipton in the 27th minute of play. Nihat Yekta made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Lütfi İlseven sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute Günalp Şemsifer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökcan Taykara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rune Asplund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökcan Taykara having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Menderes SK's Gafur Okay got a free kick in the 38th minute. BucaSpor ERSAN's Rune Asplund got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Shipton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gökcan Taykara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Rune Asplund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Andre Shipton made the kick off in the second half. Nihat Yekta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Arif Eskioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rune Asplund struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Gökcan Taykara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BucaSpor ERSAN. Andre Shipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökcan Taykara having to interfere. Rune Asplund came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gökcan Taykara could save by the left post. Menderes SK's Gökcan Taykara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Menderes SK from getting a goal against them. When Ateş Osman fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menderes SK's protests and gave Ateş Osman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Menderes SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ateş Osman to maneuver through the defense. Ercüment Baba charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ercüment Baba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gökcan Taykara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Shipton in the 68th minute of the match.
