Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5601, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Gayrettepe's Selman Temizalp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After recieving a nice pass, Gayrettepe's Arif Memduh Belge tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Selman Temizalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gayrettepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Selman Temizalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Çağrı Samin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Kurtulus's Efe Tun got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 12 played minutes Gayrettepe got a freekick which was hit by Kürşat Hafi. Ali Çağrı Samin came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Gayrettepe's Akgün Guftar. But to his dismay, Akgün Guftar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Akgün Guftar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Çağrı Samin having to interfere. Ulvi Buğdaycı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Zekeriya Uluberk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gayrettepe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kurtulus the free kick. After 38 played minutes Gayrettepe got a freekick which was hit by Zekeriya Uluberk. After recieving a nice pass, Kurtulus's Baran Alp Kabadayı tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Ulvi Buğdaycı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Fikret Dilşah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Gayrettepe's goal looked a bit too open when Ulvi Buğdaycı came free, but Ahmet Fikret Dilşah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Gayrettepe got a freekick which was hit by Raşit Elçibey. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulvi Buğdaycı to make the kick off. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atakan Tarhun went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Selman Temizalp during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Ulvi Buğdaycı came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Kurtulus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulvi Buğdaycı couldn't finish the play. Ali Çağrı Samin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akgün Guftar in the 60th minute. Ali Çağrı Samin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selman Temizalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Selman Temizalp came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Gayrettepe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selman Temizalp couldn't finish the play. Selman Temizalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Selman Temizalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Gayrettepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raşit Elçibey to maneuver through the defense. Baran Alp Kabadayı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ahmet Fikret Dilşah. Gayrettepe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ali Çağrı Samin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selman Temizalp's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Kurtulus's Ali Çağrı Samin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akgün Guftar in the 87th minute of play. Ulvi Buğdaycı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ahmet Fikret Dilşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gayrettepe getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zekeriya Uluberk hit a great ball. The Kurtulus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gayrettepe's performance. The match ended with a win for Gayrettepe.
