Selim Onuralp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Güvenç Özozan during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Güngören's Güvenç Özozan got a free kick in the 13th minute. Artun Visali's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th minute of the match Güngören got a corner. şahin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Güvenç Özozan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ahmet Nafiz Acartürk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but şahin's Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin did a great save. A collision led to Güngören getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mümtazer Özekan hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, one of Güngören:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Güngören. Güngören:s Şanver Suhan showed great skill when he stopped Tayfur Kalagay:s penalty. Artun Visali was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 36th minute Ahmet Nafiz Acartürk suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gökhan Oykan during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kamer Ökkeş's late challenge caught a şahin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kamer Ökkeş helped the player get up and apologised. Artun Visali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Güngören's Artun Visali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artun Visali in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Güngören booed when şahin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökhan Oykan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Artun Visali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mümtazer Özekan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Artun Visali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güngören's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artun Visali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Artun Visali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Güngören's Mümtazer Özekan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Mümtazer Özekan scored 2-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Artun Visali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, şahin's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Boran Koca came free, but Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Güngören's Ahmet Boran Koca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Turgut Ceceli kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Artun Visali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artun Visali in the 94th minute of play forced şahin's goalkeeper Ahmet Rıfat Demirtekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Artun Visali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Güngören were the better team. Güngören's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
