The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karagümrük's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Muzaffer Erçevik in the 10th minute. A nice corner shot did that Muzaffer Erçevik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Berkant Erboy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Ferdinand in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berkant Erboy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Baybars Hatipoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa İzzet Akdurmuş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamdullah Gezer having to interfere. Saadettin Uluman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Berkant Erboy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Berkant Erboy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King Ferdinand in the 29th minute of the match. King Ferdinand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkant Erboy having to interfere. Berkant Erboy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from King Ferdinand, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. With 46 minutes on the clock, Tunç Ilıca commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of TİREBOLU:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Karagümrük:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. King Ferdinand was the one to do the kick off. Saadettin Uluman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TİREBOLU's Berkant Erboy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Ferdinand in the 59th minute of play. Berkant Erboy came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Karagümrük's King Ferdinand. But to his dismay, King Ferdinand quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Saadettin Uluman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berkant Erboy having to interfere. Saadettin Uluman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, King Ferdinand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berkant Erboy. TİREBOLU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that King Ferdinand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Berkant Erboy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from King Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Karagümrük's King Ferdinand in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TİREBOLU's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82ndth minute of the game Saadettin Uluman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TİREBOLU's Berkant Erboy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Saadettin Uluman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Berkant Erboy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, TİREBOLU's goal looked a bit too open when King Ferdinand came free, but Berkant Erboy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to TİREBOLU getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Melih Cevdet Kırgız hit a great ball. Berkant Erboy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saadettin Uluman's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Karagümrük walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
