After 23 played minutes Yeniçeri akademi FK got a freekick which was hit by Arcan Giryar. Galatabahçe's Emre Dengiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onur Ali Yörük in the 30th minute of play. Ferit Tümkut hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Akın Özyurek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Lia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Benjamin Lia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akın Özyurek, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Hayri Erben in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Lia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Galatabahçe booed when Yeniçeri akademi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arcan Giryar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Ahmet Hayri Erben recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Lia. Ahmet Hayri Erben showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Akın Özyurek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamin Lia. That made the score 1-5 in the 69 minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Akın Özyurek notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Yeniçeri akademi FK's Benjamin Lia. Benjamin Lia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ramazan Kebir kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Galatabahçe's Emre Dengiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdulbaki Evvah in the 80th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Hayri Erben couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yeniçeri akademi FK's goalkeeper Benjamin Lia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Enver Ekşioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Akın Özyurek during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Galatabahçe getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Akın Özyurek hit a great ball. Emre Dengiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Resul İlgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Galatabahçe played a much better game than Yeniçeri akademi FK and deserved their victory. The Yeniçeri akademi FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
