The supporters of Torul booed when Saricakaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Behzat Kirmanşah didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Mehmet Şefik Serir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nusrettin Yıldırımtürk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 minutes, Baskın Oktan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torul and the Saricakaya players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mehmet Şefik Serir struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. In the 43rd minute, Saricakaya's Azim Arıhan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Mutlu Tanırer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torul's supporters rose to their feet, but Mutlu Tanırer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nusrettin Yıldırımtürk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Necat İshak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lemi Muhteşem, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Azim Arıhan struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Necat İshak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saricakaya. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lemi Muhteşem in the 55th minute of play forced Torul's goalkeeper Necat İshak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Torul getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Baskın Oktan hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Mutlu Albay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Necat İshak skillfully saved the ball. In the 58th match minute, Torul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mutlu Tanırer to maneuver through the defense. Azim Arıhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necat İshak having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azim Arıhan in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Necat İshak saved Torul from getting behind. 67 minutes into the game, Mutlu Albay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saricakaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torul the free kick. In the 70th minute Behzat Kirmanşah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necat İshak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Şefik Serir couldn't finish the play. Necat İshak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lemi Muhteşem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
