The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı got free with Fazıl Tezal in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Gökalp Hayırlı in the 20th minute of play forced BYRMGLN's goalkeeper Fazıl Tezal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orhan Seyfi Bayraktaroğlu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şensoy Yücealp saved Manchester City FC from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Orhan Seyfi Bayraktaroğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şensoy Yücealp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 29 played minutes BYRMGLN got a freekick which was hit by Orhan Seyfi Bayraktaroğlu. A hard shot by Durmuş Bahadıroğlu from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Fazıl Tezal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 63 minutes of play, Manchester City FC's Harun Oymen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fazıl Tezal was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Manchester City FC booed when BYRMGLN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuncer Sehriyar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aktaç Bektaş kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Şensoy Yücealp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orhan Seyfi Bayraktaroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Manchester City FC's Şensoy Yücealp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuncer Sehriyar in the 76th minute of play. BYRMGLN were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Manchester City FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erman Göktepe took the corner. BYRMGLN's Erman Göktepe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Şensoy Yücealp in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 81 played minutes Manchester City FC got a freekick which was hit by Efekan Hedef. Orhan Seyfi Bayraktaroğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şensoy Yücealp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fazıl Tezal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süruri Kose in the 87th minute of play. With 91 minutes on the clock, Hikmet Kırgız commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 90 minutes into the game, one of BYRMGLN:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Manchester City FC a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Durmuş Bahadıroğlu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BYRMGLN's Fazıl Tezal. 2-1. The supporters of Manchester City FC booed when BYRMGLN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asım Arif Mennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Manchester City FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
